Pascale Tsering

Hi there! I am Pascale Tsering, a passionate budding theatre creator currently based out of Rochester, NY. I was born in Colorado, and raised in Paris, France.

As a child, my parents enrolled me in acting classes to get some of my wild untamed energy out, but their plan backfired because theatre has only ever fuelled my energy and passion. Perpetually jumping from project to project, I have always found my home in the theatre, be it rehearsing in the backrooms of a theatre on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, performing on west end stages in London, or inhabiting the tech booth in my university’s theatre in Rochester. I always find my stomping grounds in the theatre, working at all hours and making friends with the local theatre ghosts.

Though my life-long love affair with theatre started as escapist fun, it has grown into so much more. As an emerging theatre professional, I now find my political voice in my projects on stage. The theatre has given me so much space to proudly exist as an feminist, queer, neurodivergent, international creator. Finding my place in this industry and this world has evolved from wanting to entertain, to wanting to make a social difference through politically evocative work, and tell stories that stay with an audience long after they leave the theatre. Whether it’s working as a performer, director, fight or intimacy professional, or stage manager, my goal is always to uplift art and create an accessible community for audience members and creatives alike.

Other areas of expertise

Constantly bursting at the seams with big ideas, directing has brought me a unique opportunity to test out creative visions. Collaborating with other artists to bring to life a truly unique peice of theatre has brought me incredbly deep senses of artistic fullfillment.

Stage Manager

My stage management journey started in dance, before proceeding to opera, and finally settling in theatre and musical theatre. Having always been someone who loves to solve a problem with a spreadsheet, I have quickly found a deep affinity and love for stage managing, and particularly love the chance to have some involvement in every aspect of what brings a show from the page to the stage.

Stage & Costume Crafts

I have always loved arts and crafts, and among my coursework I have had the privilege of getting to explore this aspect of theatre as well. Getting to be a part of the creation of the visual identity of a show is always an exciting opportunity, epscially when I get the opporuntity to imbue it with my passion for historical reserach and design.
